I hadn’t intended on taking a vacation from writing…

It was all going well until a long time friend said to me, “you know I enjoy your blog, but it’s kind of all over the place isn’t it?”

Whoa.

She was certainly correct. It IS all over the place. So I took a bit of time to consider, to ponder and to query my family and friends on what they wanted to see reflected in my writing.

It distilled down to the following things I enjoy writing about:

• travel with children
• military families
• Pennsylvania history
• budget travel
• the Veteran’s Experience

So that’s what we will be focusing on in the coming year.

I’ve got posts in the works on

• our trip to Canada (Quebec), and the New England states this summer.
• A budget stay at Great Wolf Lodge
• Our fishing expeditions into the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country
• the delights of the midAtlantic States in the Fall.

There will be a new focus on how to save money while traveling (especially while using military discounts) and we are planning a European foray using the military Space Available travel system.
